A New Apartment Development Company Backed by Compatriot Capital
Chicago, IL, (July 12, 2016) – The Chicago-based acquisition and development team from Village Green Holding announced the creation of Albion Residential. The new company will be led by President Jason Koehn, who will be joined by Village Green executives from Chicago and Detroit. Compatriot Capital, the real estate investment division of Sammons Enterprises, is the majority investor in the new company. Compatriot is also a major investor in Detroit-based Village Green Holding.
Albion Residential will specialize in the acquisition and development of luxury rental apartments in various urban Midwest markets. “This new asset-focused company will have a strong financial position and an exceptional management team with market, design, and construction expertise. The Albion team has won national and regional industry awards for ground-up development, adaptive re-use and renovation projects. “Our demonstrated ability to think dynamically generates opportunities that lead to best in class assets that also provide compelling financial results for our partners and investors as well as the community,” said Jason Koehn.
Albion is working on market rate acquisitions and developments that cater to and foster urban live-work-play lifestyles. The projects will be notable for emphasizing the resident experience through first-class customer service, along with the latest amenities, technology and Green Building practices that appeal to both Millennials and Baby Boomers wanting to live in popular downtowns.
