Darron Ash

President and Chief Executive Officer, Briggs International

Senior Vice President and Executive Committee Member, Sammons Enterprises, Inc. 

Formerly Chief Financial Officer of Sammons Enterprises, Inc., Darron Ash was promoted to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Briggs International in 2015. He is responsible for the growth and continued success of SEI’s industrial equipment businesses in the US, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Sammons, Darron was in the private equity and public accounting industries for 25 years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas. 

He is an Executive Committee member and Senior Vice President for Sammons Enterprises, Inc. 

Derek Claybrook

Chief Financial Officer, Briggs International

Chief Financial Officer, Briggs Equipment US

Derek Claybrook serves as Chief Financial Officer for Briggs International and Briggs Equipment. He has held these positions since May 2012. In addition to his financial responsibilities, Derek has responsibility for information technology, shared services, facilities and safety for this leading materials handling organization.

Derek began his career with Arthur Andersen, gaining four years of public accounting experience while based in Houston. He joined Sammons in June 2003 and held various positions in the finance department including Controller and Director, Financial Planning & Analysis. While still at Sammons Corporation Derek worked with the Briggs team conducting due diligence for the acquisition of Hyster territory in the U.S. and led the Briggs integration efforts upon completion of the acquisition.

Peter Jones

Managing Director, Briggs Equipment UK

Serving as Managing Director of Briggs Equipment UK since April 2016, Peter is responsible for the overall strategy for Sammons Enterprises’ industrial equipment business in the UK. Peter joined Briggs Equipment UK shortly before the company was acquired by Sammons Enterprises in 2006.  He served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a period of nine years during which the business went through significant transformation.

Prior to joining Briggs Equipment as CFO, Peter was Commercial Manager for Finning UK’s materials handling division. A Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years’ experience, Peter began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers. During his career, Peter has supported many multinational organizations.

Chris Meinecke

President, Briggs Equipment US

Chris Meinecke was named President of Briggs US in 2015. His responsibilities include directing the strategy for the sales, rental, and equipment services businesses for the Briggs brand across the country. Prior to becoming President, Chris was the Chief Operations Officer for the company.

Chris joined Briggs Equipment in 1991 after graduating from the University of Texas in Austin. In the last 24 years he has served in operational, sales and management positions.
