Chairman, Compatriot Capital

Heather Kreager serves as Chairman of the Board of Compatriot Capital. She assists in the development of overall business strategy and is responsible for determining capital allocation decisions on behalf of Sammons. Heather participates in the evaluation of potential real estate operating companies (REOC) management teams and business strategies to ensure compatibility with Sammons' culture and values, and serves on the Board of Directors of REOCs in which Compatriot Capital invests.

Heather was elected CEO of Sammons Enterprises in 2014. She has been with Sammons since 1985. She received her bachelor's from Vanderbilt University, her J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University and her M.B.A. from the University of Dallas.

Paul Rowsey

President and Chief Executive Officer, Compatriot Capital

As President and CEO of Compatriot Capital, Paul Rowsey is responsible for the overall business strategy and portfolio composition and management. He also serves on the Board of Directors of any real estate operating companies (REOCs) in which Compatriot Capital invests. Paul assists all portfolio companies in capital formation activities. He has assisted in the successful formation and capital raising activities of E2M Strategic Fund and has continued to serve as the chairman of E2M's Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Paul was a founder and the president and CEO of E2M Partners. Previously, he was president of Eiger, Inc. and was formerly the president and board member of Rosewood Property Company. Paul began his career in 1980 as an attorney, specializing in commercial real estate. He is a 1977 magna cum laude graduate of Duke University with a degree in management science and a 1980 cum laude graduate of Southern Methodist University School of Law.

Mark Van Kirk

Senior Vice President, Compatriot Capital

As Senior Vice President for Compatriot Capital, Mark Van Kirk is responsible for transaction structure, and the evaluation, underwriting and management of Compatriot's investments. Prior to joining Compatriot Capital, Mark joined E2M Partners as a vice president and partner in 2007.  Previously, he was a partner in the Dallas office of the law firm Baker Botts L.L.P.  Mark is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University. He obtained a law degree from The University of Chicago School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1982.
